If many people have voted for the same team to win a tournament, the team with the most votes is the one shown under that section. You could see the US Open or Wimbledon labelled as “ATP Cincinnati” or “WTA Montreal” if it’s a weekly circuit event. The ‘Each Way’ choices in the Tournament Winner pool often cover 1st and 2nd place, so the player essentially has to make it to the final to earn at least a half pay out. If you choose the most-voted option, you’ll be sent to a page detailing all the wagers put on the event, including “Each Way” wagers.
Take the Match
Since this is a straight win bet, the match winner will be determined by the selection with the most votes. This is a win-or-lose wager with no further conditions. When a player retires, the game is called off sometimes. Bookmakers often pay out on the official outcome in such cases, but you should double-check your bookmaker’s tennis betting rules before placing a wager.
Parimutuel Wagering on a Predetermined Result
The set score that was picked is also shown next to the prediction, so if you choose “Rafa Nadal To Win 3-0,” for example, you would see it written there. The payout for the Set Score odds is higher than that of the Win Match odds, but only if the Set Score chosen is right.
A Complete Set of Video Games
As with any spread bet, the line for this game will be established by bookmakers swapping teams based on their predictions for the outcome. The total number of games played in a match is shown by the Total Games Line, which, for example, may be set as 20.5. (both players total games won added together). Tips are labeled with “Over” or “Under” the set line to indicate whether the tipster expects the match to end with more (Over) or fewer (Under) games than the Set Line (Over).
Achieved in the First Set
This wager is for the First Set Winner alone and is a straight victory. Betting on the underdog to win a match is a common strategy, especially when the underdog gets off to a fast start and surprises the higher-ranked player.
Success in Playing Games
Games Won is a spread bet in which the player is given a +/- advantage at the outset of the match. Bettors forecast whether a player will win a match by at least five games based on the Games Won line, which is often shown as a positive or negative number. Choose Rafa Nadal -4.5 if you believe he will win; if you think the line is too high, go with his opponent at +4.5 Games.
Picks Tennis Value Odds
Many gamblers base their selections mostly on the odds shown next to their favorite picks. Although we advocate always looking for value in tennis bets, we do recognize that many punters like to use accumulators with short odds options. To arrange the most-liked options in descending or ascending order of odds, use the tab labeled “Odds” in the corresponding column.
Value is indicated on a scale from 1 to 5 in the ‘Rating’ column (5 being the best). In order to determine this, we compare the percentage of picks for a selection to the odds currently in play. You may have found a value bet if the proportion of winners exceeds the theoretical probability based on the odds.
